~The Newest Blessing~ {Memphis, TN~Newborn Art}

Posted on October 18, 2011

We are continually blessed to be a part of the community that lives on the graduate school campus where my husband is working towards his Masters of Divinity.  While JR and I were doing a missions survey trip in the Philippines, our children were cared for by many of the people we live among.

Chief in my mind before we headed out, was to alert the unborn “Baby J” that for me to take “newborn” photos of her, she would need to wait to be born until my trip was almost over.  And she did!

Our family is blessed by her family, and we are excited that she is their newest blessing.

Introducing “Baby J”:

Hello!

{They are still trying to figure out what to think of each other.}  :)

“Baby J”, welcome to our community!  We will love lovin’ on you!!

We’ve been waiting for this one… {Memphis, TN~Newborn Portraits}

Posted on November 12, 2010

We met this lovely family when the recently moved here from working in China.  Rachel was pregnant and hadn’t been seen by a doctor in months.  And, being new to town, finding a doctor took a community. :)

But last week, later than his family would’ve hoped, this little blessing made his debut.  And I got to photograph him and snuggle with him today!

***I have found that I LOVE newborn sessions.  I get to cuddle tiny little newborns, revel in their cuteness, and hand them back to their mothers.  It’s PERFECT!***

He was definitely worth the wait.  You can tell from the way his mother dotes on him to the way that his father proudly shows off his son to the neighbors.

Here’s the sneak peek at the newborn mini session:

(and this photo makes me wish I hadn’t been so obsessed about NOT being in front of the camera when I was a “newborn Mom”)

Congratulations, guys.  He’s perfect!

Lil’ Miss “A” {Newborn Portraits}

Posted on October 4, 2010

This past week was full of photo sessions!  And I will get to all of them, but for now I’m going to highlight the newborn session I had up in Lexington, KY.

Dear family friends welcomed the first grandchild 2 weeks ago.  My mom, my children and I headed up to Lexington for a mini-reunion and a chance to meet Lil’ Miss “A”.

Between catching up and dreaming up plans for the future, I captured some sweet photos of the newest member of the family.

Enjoy the sneak peek!

I am so blessed to have been able to be a small part of welcoming this baby into the family!

New Nephew!–Newborn Custom Photography

Posted on June 30, 2010

I’ve been traveling from Florida back to Tennessee to Arkansas, back to Tennessee, and then I flew out of Little Rock to meet my newest nephew, Kaden Malachi.

Here’s one photo to start your ovaries a churnin’.  More will come.  I have great plans for this newborn session (since I have hours and days) to capture his cuteness. :)

I love this family!–{Family Portraits}

This family is near and dear to my heart.  They are near and dear to my photography as well.  :)   This family was the family I shot at my first photo session.  And yesterday, they were the first family that I did the session INDOORS instead of outdoors.  (Oh, yeah… I’m branching out.) :)

I got to snuggle the new baby, have tea with my “Lil’ Miss” and catch up with my friends.  Not bad for a gloomy Sunday afternoon.

Here’s your sneak peek:

I’ve got SO many photos that I love from this session that I’m having trouble narrowing down my photos for editing.   (That’s always a good problem to have.)

Newborn Portraits {Searcy, AR–Portraits}

Posted on April 2, 2010

Today I had the privilege of meeting tiny little “Miss R”.  She is beautiful and trusting, in that she quieted down when I told her things were ok. :)   (I don’t remember the last time I held a newborn!)

Taking these photographs for this family in particular meant a lot to me as I have known them since the mother was 5? and had just moved here from Kenya.

I hope you love these photos as much as I do.  And I hope they meet the expectations of the entire family who were all positioned behind me ooh-ing and ah-ing.

Without further ado… I give you… your sneak peek…

Ok, raise your hand if you want to snuggle a newborn now?
