Saturday evening was a blast for our whole family. Heather and her siblings decided to have family pictures taken as a gift to their parents. They are good about having pictures taken due to having a photographer in the family, however, she never gets to be in the pictures herself. So the Jones clan invited my family out to their farm in Romance, AR for a photo session and a FEAST! (I didn’t know we were going to be treated to a feast beforehand, or I might have skipped lunch.)
The evening was filled with fun and laughter. And my kids loved seeing the real animals on the farm.
I must admit that I was a little intimidated to be taking pictures of a fellow photographer. So, Cassie, I hope you aren’t disappointed.

Rest assured, I have individual shots of each of the kids. But I HAD to put my picture with Miss “A” and the sun flare up on the blog!

I have been looking forward to this photo session since their mother and I set it up mid-summer! These boys are A.MAZ.ING!! Oh, how I wish they lived closer so they could be shining examples of boy-hood to my son.
The weather didn’t look like it was going to cooperate with us. So, since they were just in town for the weekend, instead of canceling the photo shoot, we headed out when it wasn’t raining and played out at the farm.
“J” and “C” brought some of their favorite super-hero get-ups. And we played with those while baby “D” slept. But once the baby was awake, I snapped pictures of everyone there.
I had so much fun, and I can’t wait to finish editing these photos! Here’s the sneak peak…
My husband thinks this photo of “J” should be entitled: “The Sandlot”
This is “Speeder”. His super-hero power is (according to “C”) “running so fast that even age can’t catch him”. (That, my friends, is fast!)
And here’s baby “D”. He was really interested in my camera’s lens cap.
I DID get some pictures of the boys smiling nicely… but I thought this was more indicative of the great time we had.

It has long been my opinion that the photograph you most want to take will be the most elusive shot. All summer I have been trying to get a good shot of my kids in the SAME FRAME. I have lovely shots of each child individually… but, you know… (see opening remark)
